SD man pleads not guilty to murder in 2008 death

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- A Wakpala man accused in a September 2008 beating death has pleaded not guilty in federal court to second-degree murder and assault.
• Twenty-five-year-old Stoney End of Horn is accused of beating Pauline Brave Crow in rural Wakpala, causing a head injury that killed her. Court documents do not indicate the relationship between the two.
• End of Horn faces up to life in prison if convicted. He remains in custody pending trial. A trial date has not been set.
