Early in the fourth quarter, Kasey Kurtz had a big run to get down to the Milbank 20 yard line, but the run was for naught as Groton had a penalty. On the next play, Kurtz went all the way to the endzone, but that was also recalled because of a Groton penalty. "Sometimes our receivers get down the field and when Kasey broke into the open, some of the kids get a little bit itchy and don't look when the runner has a 10 yard lead. They're looking for a block."
• Each team lost the ball due to a fumble after the storm delay and ended the game with a 20-7 Groton win.
