• Groton's next possession also hit paydirt in 7:53 and it had eight first downs over the course of 89 yards as the finale had Kasey Kurtz crossing the goal line with a four yard run with 5:28 left in the first half. The two-point conversion was good on a pass from Parker Rossow to Alec Oleson. Groton now took a 14-0 lead.
• Both teams had possession of the ball to finish the first half with no first downs. Groton took a 14-0 lead at half time.
• Groton's second drive of the second half was spoiled when the Tigers fumbled the ball and Milbank took over at their own 45 yard line.  The Bulldogs were fourth and 12 and had to punt. The punt was blocked and Groton took over on the Milbank

30 yard line. Groton had two first downs in 1:31, marching 70 yards in four plays as Kasey Kurtz scored on a six yard run with 3:06 left in the third quarter. The PAT run was no good and it was a Groton 20-0 lead.
• On the next play, Milbank had a 61-yard pass play as Isaaac Shaza scored for the Bulldogs with 2:51 left in the third quarter. The PAT kick by Marian Rohde was good and it was 20-7.
