• The program in eastern Nebraska will give people convicted two or more times of drunken driving a chance to stay out of jail as long as the twice-daily testing shows they have not consumed alcohol.
• Under the pilot program, participants will go to the Criminal Justice Center in Omaha every morning and every night to take a breath test, and offenders will pay $2 for each test. The first time a participant tests positive for alcohol, he or she will spend 12 hours in jail. The second time will bring a 24-hour stint behind bars, and a
