• The Division of Insurance has certified Avera Health Plans, Sanford Health Plan and Dakotacare, which is associated with the South Dakota State Medical Association, to offer plans in the state.
• Klemann said South Dakota likely has fewer plans because Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield decided not to participate.
• "That obviously has a certain impact, when our largest individual carrier chooses not to participate in the exchange in 2014," she said.
