Sioux Falls man must pay back $106K for mail fraud

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A Sioux Falls man must repay more than $106,000 to his former employer for company checks he wrote to pay personal expenses and credit card bills.
• Steven Isaacson worked as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer of AAA Collection Co. and Metronova from 2006 and 2011. Prosecutors say the fraud took place from 2009 to 2011.
• The 50-year-old earlier pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud and now has been sentenced in federal court to four years of probation and the restitution.

South Dakota team advances on 'Family Feud'

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Some South Dakotans playing the TV game show "Family Feud" to mark their grandmother's 100th birthday have advanced to the next round.
• The five-member Strom family will meet another family on Thursday after being the winners of Wednesday's episode.
• Josie Strom, of Beresford, turned 100 last month, so the appearance is a late birthday gift from her grandchildren.
• Three of the five are related through blood and two by marriage.
• The show was taped in June.
• "Family Feud" is hosted by comedian Steve Harvey and filmed in Atlanta. It airs on KDLT-TV in Sioux Falls and KOTA-TV in Rapid City.

SD company getting $25K for wind farm study

• SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- A South Dakota company is receiving a $25,000 U.S. Department of Agriculture grant to study the feasibility of building a wind farm.
• Pioneer Energy LLC wants to construct the 99 megawatt wind energy project near Lake Andes.
• Acting Under Secretary for Rural Development Doug O'Brien announced funding for projects in 22 states that will help agricultural producers and rural small businesses reduce their energy consumption and costs. It's part of the USDA's Rural
