New signs to go up around Groton

You may have noticed a lot of flags around town as various organizations have had to do one-call locates. After a two-year wait, the city will get new stop signs, new speed limit signs and there will be some other new signs installed. It is all part of a grant that the city applied for. Many of the stop signs around town are old and faded and most are not of legal height. The green U-channel posts will be replaced with a square tube post. Work is expected to begin this week.
