• Good morning from Bloomington, Minn.
• We had a near disaster yesterday morning with our aquarium. The girls were so excited about seeing a baby snail crawling on the side of the aquarium. But then we had a little problem. We have two gold fish, both of which were won at the Brown County Fair. The gold goldfish has grown quite large--about four inches long. It has a big mouth. Right before the girl's eyes, the big goldfish eats the baby snail. You thought the world had come to an end.
• They were not happy with the big goldfish and were ready to get rid of it. Then they noticed that the snail was

still in the fish's mouth. The fish was trying to swallow the snail, but it was a little big for it go down.  All I heard from the girls was "Spit it out!" After about 15 minutes, the fish spit it out and the snail went to the bottom. They were so excited. Then I had to get the snail and we put it in a separate container to give it time to grow bigger before putting it back in the tank. Talk about Wild Kingdom right in our own living room!
• I'll be spending a few days in Bloomington, Minn., for the Cooper Technologies annual conference. This conference is centered on our load management and electric metering system. So while I went east, Tina and the girls went west to Mound City. The family had a 100th birthday party Saturday at the church in Mound City, but we were unable to go. So we decided that Julianna and Jeslyn should get out there to see their great-grandmother. She is still in her own home in Mound City.
