Boys lose to Aberdeen Central

The Groton Boys Soccer team lost 4-0 to Aberdeen Central on Friday, September 20 in Aberdeen.  Goal keepers for Groton were Chance Strom and Nick Dalchow.
 

Boys beat Freeman Academy

• The Groton Soccer girls and boys soccer teams celebrated parent recognition day with wins on Saturday, September 21 in Groton.   Both the girls and boys teams' parents were acknowledged with announcement of names and gifts of cookies and flowers on the gorgeous fall day.
• The Groton Boys Soccer team played against Freeman Academy in the 1:00 pm game and won 4-0.  Scoring first for Groton was Luke Sternhagen at 37:28 with a shot off the goalie's hands into the net.  At 21:24, Groton's Lane Weig scored on a play that started with a corner kick.  At the end of the first half, Jacob Milbrandt scored to make the halftime score 3-0 in favor of Groton.  In the second half at 7:46, the Tigers' Luca Kother scored with an assist from James Thompson.  The play started with a kick by Landon Larson that was the passed from Luke Sternhagen to Luca Kother, to James Thompson, and then to Luca Kother for the goal.   Groton's goal keepers were Chance Strom and Nick Dalchow.
