• "I didn't care what else could be wrong with him, I just wanted him to be alive," Trent said.
• Scott not only survived the surgery, but in the early morning he was over-breathing with a breathing tube down his throat. That was a good sign as he was trying to breathe on his own. After a good CT scan, the doctors took the tube out.
• He had been responding to hand squeezes and he could move his feet. Yet, Jeff Boner said, they really didn't know what to expect.
