• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- It had been a busy but typical spring day for Scott Boner on May 7; student-teaching in Belle Fourche and a little weightlifting late in the afternoon on the Black Hills State University campus.
• But it would become a day Boner would never forget -- except to this day he can't remember much of it as he was flown from Spearfish to Rapid City Regional Hospital for emergency brain surgery.
