is asking why I got stopped-- "Were you speeding?" All I could say was yes.)
• He asked for my proof of insurance. As I dug for it, the only one I had expired in July. I didn't have my current proof. He goes back to his vehicle and I await the ultimate decision.
• He comes back to the car. "I could write you up for speeding and for lack of proof of insurance, but I'm not going to do that." I looked at him and said, "I could give you a hug!" He just laughed. He told me to fax my proof of insurance within the next five days.
• But what he did was really neat. He gave us two bracelets to give to the girls. The bracelets say, "Be Safe! Buckle Up!"
• The first thing I did when I got home was to go on-line, retrieve my proof of insurance, and faxed it to them.
• So the girls got lots of goodies and I got a ticket, but only a warning ticket.
