quarter.
• On the second play of the next Mobridge-Pollock drive, the ball was fumbled and Jeric Albrecht scooped up the ball and dashed to the endzone for a 14 yard return. Rossow connected with Alec Oleson for the PAT and Groton took a 22-16 lead with 1:22 left in the third quarter.
• "That was a game changer for us," Wanner said. "Jeric was at the right place at the right time. He scooped it up and ran it into the endzone. That was a big momentum changer and we turned it up a notch. The next two times we took the ball and marched down the field and scored."
• Groton's first drive of the fourth quarter started at their own 47 yard line. Groton marched 53 yards in nine plays in under five minutes and had four first downs. Kurtz scored on a one yard plunge. The PAT pass from Rossow to Knecht was good on the first attempt, but a penalty forced Groton to redo the play and the second attempt failed. Groton held a 28-16 lead with 7:38 left in the game.
