MN man in custody after shooting in northeast SD

• SISSETON, S.D. (AP) -- State and local authorities are investigating a shooting in the northeastern South Dakota city of Sisseton.
• Attorney General Marty Jackley says in a statement that a 21-year-old man from Breckenridge, Minn., was arrested on an attempted murder charge Tuesday afternoon.
• Jackley didn't immediately release details, saying only that a weapon discharged and resulted in a person being flown to a hospital.
• The case is being investigated by Sisseton police, the Roberts County Sheriff's Office and the state Division of Criminal Investigation.

SD Gov. Daugaard asks that flags fly at half-staff

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard is asking people to fly all flags at half-staff in honor of those who were killed in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
• President Barack Obama has designated Wednesday, Sept. 11, as Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance. The president also has called for the U.S. flag to be displayed at half-staff during the day, and has invited the nation's governors to join in the observance.
• Daugaard asks that all flags in South Dakota be flown at half-staff from 8 a.m. until sunset on Wednesday.

Buffalo roundup being moved to Friday this year

• CUSTER, S.D. (AP) -- The annual buffalo roundup in Custer State Park is being moved to a Friday this year.
• The roundup traditionally is held on the last Monday of September, but this year it's scheduled for Friday, Sept. 27.
• Gov. Dennis Daugaard tells KGFX radio that it's believed if the roundup is held on a Friday, people will stay in the Black Hills for a few more days to enjoy what the area has to offer.
• Some 14,000 visitors gathered last year to watch more than a thousand bison thunder down the park's hills to be sorted, branded and vaccinated. Some
