• Groton will be at Mobridge-Pollock next Friday in a 7 p.m. contest. "Mobridge lost to Linton, N.D., the first week and this was their bye week," Wanner said. "They lost nine to 10 seniors from last year, but we will need to be ready to play."
• When asked what the Tigers will be working on this week, Wanner said, "Catching the ball, throwing the ball and running the ball. Our defense is tackling better and our blocking was better."
• The Groton roster is huge compared to many other schools in the area. "We have 50 kids out for football," Wanner said. "The kids want to play and our program is doing well. There's a lot of football left to play."
