• It seems like it has been forever since I have written a column. Today seems to be a major catch-up day.
• My Saturday's are perhaps the busiest day of the week. Not only do I deliver the Aberdeen American News, but I also have the AN+ that I deliver, which more than doubles my delivery time.
• Once the papers are delivered, then I start working on the GDI. And of course, that includes the Friday night football game.

• Putting the football story together is no easy feat, either. I have to sort through the stats, go through the pictures, go through the blog and talk with Coach Shaun Wanner to get his comments from the game. Once I have it all assimilated in my brain, then the composition of the article begins.
• I have decided that I would do better if I was an octopus at the games. Then I could use one arm to take pictures, one arm to hold the iPad, one to hold the roster, two to blog the game, one to hold a water bottle and two to fan me during the game.  But alas, I'm only human, so I have to make do with two arms.
• Next week will even be more challenging as we go all the way to Mobridge. There will be the journey home, a short night sleep, and then trying to get all of this done prior to me going to work at the Dairy Queen at 4 p.m. That should be fun!
• Then there is trying to get things ready for church as well, which I usually do on Saturdays.
• Some time during the upcoming week, I need to get things organized to get rid of for clean-up week. Some one asked me what the city will not take during that week. I said they'll take about anything, but I do know they won't take explosives. That was about the only thing I could come up on a moment's notice.
• If you have driven by our yard recently, you may have noticed a brown blotch in the front. No, that's not from the drought. It's from Round-up. During the fall and spring next year, we will be doing some major landscaping around the east side of the house. I have the flower bug so I'm going to be planting lots and lots of flowers and some grass. It should be a fun project.
• I also have a light in our front yard that is not working at night. I dread thinking of trying to fix that. I think I have to dig in some new wire to the post. That might be a cool day project.
