Claremont Recorder
By Beverly Patterson

The kids are back in school and the Christmas merchandise is fully stocked on the shelves at Hobby Lobby so that has to be a crystal clear indication that Valentine's Day is only 164 days away!  Time does seem to slip away very quickly but I sort of think school starting the middle of August and the retailers stocking their shelves for Christmas contributes to the feeling that time is passing by a bit faster than it actually is.  I'm not going to let it bother me.  I have my Christmas shopping started so I don't have to get in a panic over that and because fall is my favorite season, I plan to set aside some time to simply enjoy it.  I'm going to snaps some pictures of the beautiful colors that evolve and take a few deep breaths and try not to fill my head with bleak thoughts of the season that inevitably follows.  I'm not saying I hate winter.  I'm just saying I like Spring, Summer and Fall more.

Joyce Hagenson, Lance and Addison Hagenson and Brittany Nedrebo all of Fargo attended the wedding of Aaron Wade and Becky Smith on Saturday, August 24th.  They stayed over and stopped in to visit with my mom, Marie Patterson, Don Schatz and me on Sunday, August 25th.  We had a nice visit with all of them.  Addison is Lance and Brittany's two year old daughter and what a joy it was to watch as she discovered all the pretty things her Great Aunt Marie had sitting around her house.  I gave mom a baby doll for Mother's Day and it became an instant favorite of one incredibly sweet little girl, receiving lots and lots of kisses.   She and I went outside to see the kittens in the garage too.  I'm not sure if Addison had ever seen kit
