Authorities investigate body found in Black Hills

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- The Pennington County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating after a decomposed body was found in South Dakota's Black Hills.
• Authorities say someone taking photos Saturday near Iron Mountain Road discovered the body, a female with no other identifying information available. An autopsy will be scheduled this week to try to determine identity and the cause of death.
• The Sheriff's Office says cases involving missing persons are being reviewed.

SD coalition urges Congress to pass farm bill

• HURON, S.D. (AP) -- A broad coalition of South Dakota organizations is urging Congress to act quickly to reauthorize the farm bill.
• The Plainsman of Huron reports (http://bit.ly/14ei2ni ) that members of the coalition took part Saturday in a rally at the State Fair. Coalition members say the farm bill includes comprehensive programs that affect all Americans.
• Mike Stephenson of Pheasants Forever in South Dakota says the bill is important to hunters, anglers, farmers, livestock feeders and everyone who eats.
• After the Senate passed a farm bill in June, the House passed a different version that took out food stamps. The two chambers have not yet reached agreement.
• South Dakota Farmers Union president Doug Sombke, who led the State Fair rally, says a farm bill provides a safety net for farmers and feeds the hungry.

Black Hills buffalo retailer to appear on TV show

• RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) -- A Black Hills-based buffalo meat retailer will appear on a Food Network show on Sunday.
• Wild Idea Buffalo, which sells grass-fed meat, will compete in "The Great Food Truck Race" show when the show rolls into the ranch outside of Rapid City.
• Food truck teams will compete to see which can create buffalo meals and then sell the most items in town from their trucks. Results from the competition, along with other stops during the show, will determine the wining food truck.
• The prize is $50,000.

Officials say 4-H participation up at State Fair

• HURON, S.D. (AP) -- Officials say 4-H exhibits were up 10 percent from last year at this year's State Fair in Huron.
