• Groton did have an opportunity to score midway in the third quarter. Groton had its best field position, starting at the Parkston 41 yard line. On fourth and 15, Reilly Ell caught the ball, but he had a foot out of bounds. Defensively, Adam  Herman had an interception and Wyatt Lone had a fumble recovery.

nalized for roughing the kicker. There was no time left on the clock; however, a quarter cannot end on a penalty, so an untimed play had to be done. On the final play, Wes Dvorak intercepted the ball and ran it back 62 yards before being brought down at the Groton nine yard line. Parkston would then score three plays later in the fourth quarter for the final score of 21-0.
• The first touchdown for Parkston came in the second quarter. The Trojans marched 58 yards in 4:18 with 10 plays and four first downs as Dvorak scored on a 20 yard run. He also kicked the PAT for a 7-0 lead with 5:49 left in the first half.
• Parkston's next big drive occurred in the third quarter, marching 85 yards on 10 plays in 5:01 with five first downs. Mitch Heisinger ran in from three yards out and Dvorak kicked the PAT as Parkston took a 14-0 lead with 1:04 left in the third quarter.
