• On Saturday night, August 24th Doug and Crys Hinrichs, Ron and Doris Anderson and Wayne and DeAnn Suther and their families hosted a sweet corn supper at Doug and Crys's home.  The weather was very warm but it didn't seem to bother the large number of people in attendance. Don, Becky and April Wegleitner met Don and I there and we all had a great time.  The meal was spectacular and the conversation was wonderful.  My Don is still attempting to grasp the "small town" mentality he has witnessed on several occasions.  He is amazed by how friendly people are and was even more surprised that no one handed us a bill once we finished eating!  I would like to send out a great big Thank You to the hosts and hostesses!  You did a wonderful job and it was very much appreciated!
• Brendan and Carrie Hinrichs welcomed a beautiful little girl into their world in July and on Wednesday, September 11th there will be a Come & Go Baby Shower.  It will be held at the Claremont United Methodist Church from 6 until 8pm.  Please come and meet little Evey and welcome her into this wonderful little community!
• It's time to get the day rolling here.  If you read the news last week, you might remember me talking about vacuuming my car.  I didn't say why it was necessary at the time as I was too busy talking about all the sweat pouring off of my head but after reading the opening of my news this week, you now know "the rest of the story."  Have a wonderful rodent free week!  I did report the mouse incident on facebook and one of my friends commented on my post telling me how funny she thought it was, that I had a mouse in my car, that is until the following morning, when she got in her car and noticed a shredded candy wrapper waiting for her!
