grandsons.  They took in the Brown County Fair while they were here.  The young boys really enjoyed seeing the animals at the fair as well as their time spent at the farm.  It was definitely a change from what they are used to.
• Betty Stanley hosted a small coffee party for Deloris Bruns and Janice Fliehs at her home.  She wasn't sure of the date but we do know it happened and it happened in August.  I wasn't there but it sounds like they had a very nice time.
• Joe Martin's 77th Birthday was celebrated on August 22nd at Wheatcrest Hills in Britton.  A large number of family and friends gathered to enjoy strawberry shortcake and sandwiches for lunch.  There was musical entertainment in the afternoon.  The celebration continued with a pizza party on the patio for supper.  Everyone had a wonderful time.  Happy Birthday Joe!

• On Friday morning, August 23rd a coffee party was held at Holland's Auto Care.  Those in attendance were Merlene Dunlavy, Susan Kurth, Jackie Pigott, Yvonne Gibbs, Joan Thompson, Shari Freeland, Janet Neff, Betty Stanley, Carol Hanse and Ann Witham.  This great group of ladies spent the morning sharing some conversation over a cup of coffee and once again, reinforced the idea that getting together with friends is always worth the time it takes to make it happen.
