• Services for Orville "Buster" Huffman, 85, of Groton will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 30^th at Paetznick-Garness Funeral Chapel, Groton.  Rev. Ken Skorseth will officiate.  Burial will follow in Groton Union Cemetery.
• Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
• Buster died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Rosewood Court in Groton. 

• The  Groton Garden club met at the home of Bev Sombke with Linda Gengerke assisting supper was served and then the members toured the English Cottage garden of Lisa Harry. The meeting was called to order following the tour. Roll call was answered by 11 members and 3 guests. Marg Overacker, Lisa and Darac Harry. The members were read and approved. There was discussion of the Yard of the week project. Ten yards have been honored. Rocky mountain Regional meeting  will be held on Salt Lake City, September 13-15. Change was collected for "Pennies for Pines."
• Linda Gengerke, Linda Anderson will host the Sept. 16th meeting and Pat Larson will give the program.The August 19th program was planned by Janice Fliehs.
