Friday, but came back on Saturday to defeat St Thomas Moore, 1-0.
• The boys team fared better, winning both games. They defeated Harrisburg, 2-0 in the first game. The game was mostly a defensive game for the first half as neither team was able to score. Groton was able to get on the board first in the opening minutes of the second half when Landon Larson shot from just over the midline to score. Groton was able to score again with 8:30 left in the game with a header goal by Luka Kother on an assist by Lucas Sternhagen.
• On Saturday the team battled not only St Thomas Moore, but also the wind and heat. STM took an early lead, scoring in the first half. The score would hold for most of the game, as Groton would not score until the second half
