dents at the Golden Living Center and Rosewood Court last week in Groton.  They also had lunch with senior meals friends in Groton.

• Don and Becky Wegleitner started out a busy weekend by heading to Brookings for the Men's State Softball Tournament on Saturday, August 17th.  Don plays and has played with the Roslyn team for a number of years and after their first game early Saturday morning Don and Becky headed to Worthing to spend some time with their daughter, Allison "This Old House"  Wegleitner, Dan "Technology Whiz" Hamik and Spike "Iron Bender" Patterson.  Spike is their adopted big black lab that occasionally roamed the streets of Claremont several years ago when he escaped from Elwood (Allison's Grandpa) Patterson's shop. Spike has adapted to the comforts of being a house dog.  He enjoys air conditioning, delicious meals and lots of love.  After the visit Don and Becky headed back to Brookings for the Don's 5:00 game.  They returned home later that evening.

• Don's sister, Ruth Dinger of St Paul MN has been visiting and staying with Joyce Wegleitner this past week. On Sunday she and brother Wayne got together at Joyce's home and assembled a huge batch of Grandma Louisa Wegletner's family famous bread dumplings. Several eaters arrived to enjoy these delicious dollups of dough including Don and Becky Wegleitner, Wayne and Karen Wegleitner, Ryan, Kayla and Regan Hastings, Chris Wegleitner, Macenzie Cutler, KC Wegleitner, Shannon Holler, Gab, Justin and Autumn Wegleitner.  Ruth Dinger and Joyce Wegleitner were already there and they too, enjoyed the dumplings as well as dessert following the meal.  After reporting this bit of news it's safe to say I will never forget how to spell Wegleitner and if you are ever wondering, you can always give me a call!

• This past weekend I spent some time with my Don in Bismarck.  We didn't do anything incredibly earth shattering but it seems we always share some good laughs and consume some pretty delicious food and we also find time to kick back and relax!  I like that part the very best!  I hear so many people talking about how fast time seems to go and I do know that it does slow down if you allow it to.  It's okay to cancel plans and say no and put off a few things that need doing once in a while.  I am the queen of procrastination so I'm a little too good at these things but for those of you that find time slipping by a bit too fast, you might want to give my suggestions a whirl.  You never know, they might actually work and help you to feel a bit of that inner peace that you haven't felt for a very long time!
