•  I do believe the sweltering heat of summer has definitely found us.  I feel incredibly fortunate to be working in an air conditioned building.  Last night, however, I decided to vacuum my car and because my workplace does not have a door big enough to drive my car through I was forced to vacuum it outside.  I know there would be better days to do this but due to certain circumstances the vacuuming couldn't wait.  It's hard to believe that a person could drown in their own sweat but after last night I'm sort of thinking it might be possible. With the extreme heat and humidity, it appeared that my head had turned into a container with a really bad leak. I don't think Bounty could have handled this.  It was crazy but I did accomplish what I set out to do and thankfully, before I passed out from dehydration.   
•  The Friendly Fellows and Daisies 4-H club met August 4, 2013, at Wylie Park. President Brady Wieker called the meeting to order. Hayden Reints and Carly C. led the American and 4-H pledges. The roll call topic was "My Favorite 4-H Project." The treasurer's report was approved by Justine Sanderson and seconded by Hannah Sumption. The secretary's report was approved by Trey Wright and seconded by Sam Sanderson. The spotlight, special foods, and fashion review were disscussed as the old business. Johnny Sumption closed the old business which was seconded by Landon Marzahn. The Brown County and State Fair News and painted pony were discussed as new business. Madlyn Wright closed the new business
