Warmer temperatures will move back into the area today, with breezy southerly winds also expected for areas along and west the of James River valley. Much hotter temperatures will arrive this weekend and are forecast to stick around through most of next week. Temperatures will rise into the 90s to around 100 degrees, with heat index values over 100 degrees possible for some locations. Only small chances for precipitation are in the forecast through the weekend, most areas will remain dry.
