Putney Putovers 4-H Club August Meeting

•  The Putney Putovers 4-H Club met August 5, 2013 at the Groton Community Center. President Alexis Simon called the meeting to order. Emma Donley led the United States Flag pledge. Hailey Monson led the State Flag pledge. Portia Ketterling led the 4-H Flag pledge. Roll Call topic was "Something to Improve My Community." The secretary's report was read. Ashely Gibbs moved to accept the report. Alexis Hanten seconded the motion and the motion passed. The treasurer's report was read. Carly Wheeting moved to accept the report. Brenna Johnson seconded the approval and motion passed. Leader Chris Wheeting presented a bill for $17.64 for pictures developing. Alexis Hanten and Caleb Hanten reported for community service. Both made bars for the auction, served at church and took cookies to the nursing home.
•  Old Business: Ann Gibbs and Joann Donley will lead the County Fair promotion. Volunteers will also assist Chris in setting up the Brown County Fair 4-H club display.
•  New Business: August 12th will be a non-livestock judging from 3-6 pm. Volunteers are needed to work the 4-H concession stand and Thursday from 9-11 am and from 1-3 pm. T-shirts will be provided to each child. Volunteers are needed to help with the float for Gypsy Days in October. County Fair exhibits going to the State Fair will be packed on Saturday. Abby Gibbs, Ashley Gibbs, Portia Ketterling, Alexis Simon, Alexis Hanten all receive purples in fashion review. At the State 4-H Horse
