Lingering showers can be expected across parts of south central South Dakota, mainly south of US Highway 14, this morning. This area of showers will drift southeast today. Another round of thunderstorms is expected to develop across the western Dakotas this evening and move southeast. The strongest storms will likely remain west of the Missouri River tonight. Small hail and gusty winds will be the main threat with the strongest storms.
