strong finish on a way to a hard fought win over Parkston on a beautiful night for baseball.
•  Spencer Knecht pitched seven innings for the complete game win. Parkston took the lead in the third on a double steal, which ended up being their lone run. Parkston's pitcher, Dahlman, struck out eight of the first nine batters as Groton's sticks were silent.
•  The game had its twists, but the biggest one came in the fourth inning on a poor judgment call by the home plate umpire not to award Knecht first base
