a place to move into, at least temporary, before school starts."
• Growing up in a small town, Schwan is familiar with the limitations some small towns have.
• "Groton has a very good reputation," Schwan said. "We are very comfortable in bringing our kids here. Groton as that small town feel, but can offer some of the same advantages that Aberdeen can. "
• Schwan knows that she will face some challenges in a new school.
• "It will be a challenge to learn the culture of the school," Schwan said. "But it will be nice to work for a school district that works."
• One thing Schwan would like to implement is an ICU program.
• "Mr. Schwan and I have talked about having an ICU program here at Groton," Schwan said. "Aberdeen Central has a program that reaches out to students that are falling behind in their school work. There wouldn't be any zeros or incompletes given any more by the teachers. The students would be required to complete any assignments the

• When Schwan isn't busy with school, she likes to go antiquing and doing refinishing projects. She also enjoys time with her family.
• "We enjoy doing things together," Schwan said.
