• Many in the crowd gathered at the Transit office were drivers, dispatch workers or board members of the Transit. Johnson spent some time informally talking to them about their jobs and some of the problems they have encountered. He also spent some time talking to Arlis Doeden, the Transit director on how the Transit went about getting their vehicles and funding.
• Doeden explained that much of their funding for vehicles has come from grants and that all the drivers are 100 percent volunteer.
• "You are the grant writer of your community," Johnson told Doeden. "One of the things I wanted to learn with this visit is how this small community
