Smith and Schaller Perform in South Dakota Honor Choir Concert

Junior Luke Smith and Senior Cheyenne Schaller recently spent a week at the University of Sioux Falls rehearsing choral music with 160 of the best high school singers in South Dakota. The week ended with a concert Friday, August 2, at the Washington Pavilion. The guest conductor of the prestigious choir was Dr. Christopher Aspaas from St. Olaf College. The auditions for the group were in April and the

process included a memorized solo, sight singing, tonal memory, an a cappella patriotic piece, and a written test on musical terms. The students are under the direction of Malerie Yeaton.
