Severe weather will be possible across portions of the Plains on Monday. Primary risks will be large hail and damaging winds although a few tornadoes may also be possible. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted an area of Slight Risk where these risks are greatest. In addition to severe weather, portions of the central Plains could continue to see

heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding.

• Tuesday: Partly sunny. Showers and thunderstorms likely in the morning...then a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 80. Southwest winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 60 percent.

• Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. North winds up to 5 mph shifting to the west in the afternoon.
