• Groton jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and never looked back as the Groton Teeners defeated Volga for a second time, 10-2, to win the region title. The game was played in Volga.
• Groton added one more run in the fifth to take a 5-2 lead and then doubled its score in the sixth inning for the 10-2 score.
• Nick Dalchow was the winning pitcher, throwing seven innings for two strike-outs, no walks and five hits.
• Getting singles were Lucas Sternhagen, Adam Herman with two, Nick Dalchow with three and Bennett Shabazz with two. Doubles were hit by Spencer Knecht and Bennett Shabazz.
