This is the big play! The crowd is on their feet and lined up against the fence with two outs. Spencer Knecht hit one into center field on his first pitch. He stops at first base to watch the play at home plate and assistant coach and Mason Madsen's dad, Tony, is also watching in the back ground. The ball comes soaring to home, but Mason slides in safely to give Groton a 9-8 win over Vermillion and its second consecutive State B Title. (Photo #6465 by Char Telkamp)
