the first batter up for Tabor. He hit a single to center field for a safe trip to first base.  He then stole second base. Mike Kocer then hit a single to advance Fridrich to third. Fridrich would score the only run for Tabor on a hit by Blasé Vanecek. With the score tied up, Groton would come to bat. Jamie Jorgensen would walk and then be advanced on a sacrificial bunt by Spencer Knecht. Parker Rossow would then hit a double to bring Jorgensen home. Planteen and Stanley would then both be walked to first base, bringing up Matt Thorson. Thorson would hit a single and errors would bring Rossow and Planteen home to give Groton a two run lead, 4-1.
