fied misinformation on the ethanol industry, and reiterated how the RFS has helped Glacial Lakes Energy. He stressed that our nation's fuel supply needs to change from E10 to E15 for several reasons - help lower the cost of gas at the pump, help reduce our dangerous dependence on foreign oil, and help bolster our local communities and economies. 
"It's crucial that our representatives in Washington understand the benefits of ethanol - that it creates jobs in South Dakota, keeps gas prices down and contributes to our rural economies," said Schlenker. "During this time of skyrocketing gas prices, ethanol is the only tool our nation has right now to help reduce prices at the pump. It's essential that we work with our lawmakers to take the steps necessary to maintain the RFS and to get E15 and other ethanol blends into the marketplace. American consumers deserve a choice at the pump."
 
Glacial Lakes Energy, LLC ethanol plant was formed in May 2001 by the Glacial Lakes Corn Processors (GLCP) which is a South Dakota Cooperative comprised of over 4,000 members.
Glacial Lakes Energy, LLC (GLE) was an original 40 mgy nameplate ethanol production facility which underwent an expansion in 2007 and currently is running at 100+ mgy in Watertown, SD. GLCP also is the sole owner of a 100 mgy ethanol plant near Mina, SD which began operating in June of 2008
