Lightning touches off wildfire in Black Hills

• CUSTER, S.D. (AP) -- Lightning has touched off another wildfire in the Black Hills of western South Dakota.
• The Great Plains Fire Information Service says the Grizzly Fire began in the Black Elk Wilderness on Wednesday. It covered about 1.5 acres, or less than a square mile.
• Officials say the fire is in a remote, rugged area, and no structures are at risk. Crews on the ground and in an airplane have responded.

Water service restored in SD city of Salem

• SALEM, S.D. (AP) -- Residents of the southeastern South Dakota city of Salem have water service again after a two-day outage.
• Two of the city's three wells broke down on Monday. Repairs were finished Wednesday and city officials lifted most water restrictions.
• About 1,350 people live in the city. They experienced a similar dry spell last summer when computer problems caused the city's water treatment plant to shut down.

2 SD university libraries handle state documents

• PIERRE, S.D. (AP) -- The libraries at South Dakota State University in Brookings and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City have been selected as depository libraries to help provide access to state government publications.
• State Librarian Daria Bossman says the two libraries will help educate people and showcase the increasing number of state agency publications being placed online through the South Dakota State Library's digital collections.
• Bossman says the two university libraries will have electronic copies of state publications and one print copy, when available.
• Bossman says that as a result of a measure passed last year by the South Dakota Legislature, the entire process for online collection and cataloguing of state government documents is now in place.
