luncheon at her home.  The afternoon was spent reminiscing.  Guests included Nnea and Sue Stanley, Janice and Joan Freudenthal, Judy German and Jane Pfiefer of Grand Junction, Colorado, Darlene Schroeder and Jodi Bosse and baby Hadley Bosse.  Paula Christensen joined the gang later.
•  I headed to Bismarck on Thursday to spend my birthday with Don.  His parents arrived on Saturday around noon and Don surprised us with a lunch buffet and cruise down the Missouri River on the Lewis and Clark Riverboat.  The weather was fabulous and we all had a wonderful time.  Later we dined at the Olive Garden.  On Sunday his parents treated us to breakfast.  They headed back to Fargo around noon and the rest of the day was spent relaxing.  I had a great weekend filled with lots of surprises and lots of new memories!
•  The time has come to end my column for yet another week.  I've done some thinking about my bad habit of being late and then I remembered reading something somewhere one time and that said, isn't it funny how the person that arrives late is always in a better mood than the one that was waiting.  That explains a lot!  If I do work on being on time, I'll lose this cheerful personality I have and as far as I can see, it just wouldn't be worth it!  I hope your summer is going great.  I would like to thank Virginia and Joan for sharing their news with us.  I look forward to hearing from you soon!
