rocky shores of Lake Superior and took a hike viewing several beautiful waterfalls.  The drive along the shore was gorgeous with it's many wildflowers and different trees and shrubs.  A tour of the commercial fishing museum at Tofte was educational.  Not only was the occupation labor intensive but also dangerous for those little wooden fishing vessels.   
• The last leg of the journey ended at Grand Marais.  The day began with lunch on the shore with what else, fish and chips.  Then the foursome took a tour of the Coast Guard headquarters, checked out many of the little shops and  visited with some of the local artists and craftsmen.  A birch bark canoe was being completed as they watched.  The day ended with a heavy fog and rain which continued into the next day. As they left Grand Marais the rain had stopped but the fog was heavy enough to block the view of the lake and the temperature was 45 degrees.  When they came back into Fargo it was sunny, 82 degrees, humid and sunny.  The trip was a 50th Anniversary gift to Jim and Leah from the daughters and families.
• Happy 50th Anniversary Jim and Leah!!!! Sounds like a wonderful time was had by all!
• House guest of Virginia Pulfrey was Dorothie Lindquist of Victoria, British Columbia.  She is Virginia's cousin and came to take in Virginia's 85th birthday party that was held on the 21st of June at the Legion Hall.  Carrie Pulfrey and Connie Nilsson were the organizers of the party.  A meal was served from 6 until 10.  Vir
