• Groton Post #39 posted a pair of wins over Warner/Ipswich/Northwestern Wednesday night.
• Groton won the first game, 13-0. Drew Planteen was the winning pitcher, throwing 65 pitches in five innings for six strike-outs, one hit and one walk. Kasey Kurtz was the catcher. At the plate, Mason Madsen had three hits, Jamie Jorgensen and Spencer Knecht each had two, Dylan Krueger had a double and a single, Planteen had a double and Brandon Stanley, Matt Thorson, Dalton Locke and Kasey Kurtz each had a single.
• Groton won the second game, 18-0. Alec Voss was the winning pitcher, throwing 58 pitches for six strike-outs, five walks and one hit. Knecht was the catcher. Thorson had two doubles, Stanley and Madsen each had a double and a single, Knecht had a double and Mike Erickson and Dane Campbell each had a single.
