• Perhaps the big story is how Paul and Hanne-Marit met back in 1997. Paul has Norwegian and Swedish in his family. The Norwegian side homesteaded between Pierpont and Roslyn.
• A Lutheran pastor from Brandon, Minn., was part of a church that did an exchange with a Lutheran Church in Norway for a year. During that time, Hanne-Marit was the leader of a Folk Dance Group. They came to the states and had a performance in the Sisseton area.
• Meanwhile Paul was working at the I-29 motel and for one night in 12 years, his dad offered to watch the motel to give Paul a night off. "I wanted to go to the lake or something like that, but by friend wanted to go and watch these Norwegian Folk Dancers. I said 'You have to be kidding.'" Paul said that he
