Claremont we did a bit of tree work in mom's yard.  The mosquitoes helped.  Turns out, they love sweat and we both had unusually large amount of it for them.  Don decided at one point to say this job would be a bit more enjoyable when the weather was cooler.  Yes, he's still alive.  Later that evening Don and Becky hosted a bug filled bonfire at their home.  Joining them were Marie Patterson, Jr Patterson, Lee Loebs, Kyle, Tonya, and Colt Hansen and Don and I.  We had a delicious meal utilizing some of the goodies from their garden as well as several other favorites we just always have to have.  On Saturday Don and I toured Storybook Land in the sweltering heat and dodged approximately 1200 kids that got there before us and we were quite sure their breakfast consisted of a cup of sugar and a gallon of caffeine.  We returned to the lake later that day and I caught my very first fish!  It was a nice sized walleye that is now in the freezer waiting for a few others to join it.  Don headed back to North Dakota Sunday morning and I returned to work today after enjoying four freedom filled days.  It's times like this I realize just how lucky I am to be living in the good old USA!
