South Dakota man held in Nebraska pot case

• YORK, Neb. (AP) -- Authorities say a South Dakota man was arrested after 40 pounds of marijuana was found in his car during a traffic stop in eastern Nebraska.
• The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper pulled over the car a little after 10 a.m. Saturday near the Bradshaw interchange on Interstate 80 in York County. The patrol says a drug dog taken to the scene alerted to a smell coming from car and that the pot was found in the car trunk.
• The driver was arrested. He was identified as 44-year-old Kevin Lee, of Sioux Falls, S.D. York County Jail records said Lee remained in custody on Monday. Online court records don't list the name of his attorney.

Wild Card 2 ticket sold in Watertown worth $6,000

• WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) -- A ticket sold in Watertown is worth $6,000 in the latest Wild Card 2 drawing.
• South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket matched all five white ball numbers but missed the Wild Card to win the game's second prize in Saturday's drawing. The odds of doing so are one in about 127,000.
• Wild Card 2 is played in the Dakotas, Montana and Idaho. The jackpot sits at $370,000 for the next drawing, on Wednesday.

Newseum in DC makes changes as funding falls short

• WASHINGTON (AP) -- In five years since moving to its new home overlooking the U.S. Capitol, the Newseum has become a major attraction with 4 million people visiting its exhibits about journalism and the First Amendment. Yet it's been struggling mightily to cover its costs.
• Public financial documents reviewed by The Associated Press show revenue fell short of expenses by millions of dollars in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Its parent organization, the Freedom Forum, has used its endowment to provide the bulk of the Newseum's operating revenue since its creation, and the endowment's principal value has steadily declined from $600 million to about $373 million at the end of 2011.
