July 4 blast planned at Crazy Horse Memorial

• CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL, S.D. (AP) -- A blast will mark the Independence Day holiday at Crazy Horse Memorial.
• The 11 a.m. blast will honor veterans and current military members as well as the memory of Crazy Horse sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski (KOR'-zhack jew-uhl-KUFF'-skees), a decorated World War II Army sergeant.
• Prior to the blast, horseback riders from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation will hold a ceremony honoring living and deceased military veterans.
• The Crazy Horse Memorial is a mountain carving in progress that will honor Oglala Lakota warrior Crazy Horse.
