the Claremont baseball diamond.
• Claremont hosted yet another fantastic celebration on Saturday June 29th. The weather actually cooperated and the festivities began with a parade followed by a potluck supper at the ballpark. Once dusk rolled around Molly Hanse played the National Anthem on her violin and then a brilliant fireworks display was presented followed by some entertaining music under the stars. I was not able to attend but the people I had a chance to visit with that were here had a wonderful time. It was decided that this should become an annual event so if you missed it this year try and make it next year. You surely won't be disappointed
• The time has come to say goodbye for another week. Have a safe and wonderful Independence Day! I have a feeling my weekend will be interesting as it sounds like Don is planning to take me fishing. A few weeks ago he let me take a peek at the contents of his tackle boxes but he appeared a bit uneasy. Do you think he could tell, just by looking in my eyes, that my brain was secretly turning those lures into some pretty fantastic jewelry?
• Call me, text me, email me or hand me your news. Have a great weekend and don't forget the bug spray!
