Legion takes second at LuVerne Tourney

• Groton's American Legion baseball team placed second at the LuVerne, Minn., tournament held this past weekend.
• Groton defeated Bold, Minn., in the first game, 7-5. Groton scored seven runs on seven hits and had three errors. Jamie Jorgensen had a double and a single, Drew Planteen had two hits, Mason Madsen had a triple, Dalton Locke and double and Dane Campbell a single.
