lots of new memories and the excitement that is already building for the next time we gather together. On Saturday, before the services, Don and I kidnapped his sister's youngest daughter, Aimee and the three of us spent the day in Fargo shopping and driving race cars and playing games and eating silly food and had a wonderful time.  Later that day we headed out for supper with his sister Debby and her boyfriend Gibby.  Don and I were also able to spend some time at his Uncle Bud's log home near Detroit Lakes on Sunday afternoon and then again on Monday after the funeral.  He had been there many times and wanted to take me down the winding trail in the woods on the property as it is so beautiful but less than five minutes into the walk the mosquitoes attacked and won so we retreated!  He said he actually saw a huge swarm of them at one point and they spelled out "LUNCH" when they saw us coming!  Once we were back within the safety of the logs we sat at the base of the field stone fireplace and itched!  Romantic, huh?
• Claremont will be blazing with the beauty of a brilliant fireworks display this Saturday evening, June 29th.  This is a second anuual event and everyone is welcome.  A parade at 5:00pm will kick off the days' celebration.  After the parade, the festivities will continiue at the baseball field starting out with a potluck supper.  The meat, plates and utensils will be provided.  At dusk there will be a professional fireworks display followed by DJ music so that you can dance up a storm....or maybe not a storm as we really aren't in need of more rain.  Just mark your calendar, whip up a salad or dip, grab your lawn chair and the bug spray and plan to be entertained all evening!
