Boys win Summer League

The Groton Boys basketball team won the Aberdeen Central summer league.
In the first round of the tournament they defeated Aberdeen Central I by a score of 42-38. In the semifinal round they defeated Leola/Frederick by a score of 53-42. And in the championship game they defeated Mobridge by a score of 50-26.

• Have you ever had one of those weekends that you hoped would never end?  I did but reality is reality and it's back to work for me.  Don's Uncle Bud passed away so we were in the Fargo and Detroit Lakes area from Friday until Tuesday morning and even though his family suffered a tremendous loss, the gathering of loved ones was a priceless time spent sharing all the wonderful memories created over the many years Uncle Bud was a part of all of their worlds.  I met so many people and because we were together a couple of different times I was able to quiz Don between meetings and I think I might remember most of their names and how they fit into this wonderful family.  It was decided, once again, that families really shouldn't put so much time between gatherings and that it shouldn't take someone marrying or dying to make it  happen but we all headed back into the reality of our lives with
