• Susan is a 1998 Linton, N.D., High School graduate. She graduated from Northern State University in December of 2002. She did some subbing for the spring semester before getting a job in Langford. She has been Langford's kindergarten teacher for 10 years and has also helped out with the Title I program.
• "Changing grades will be a challenge," Susan said. "The larger class size will be different. We had eight students in Langford and here we will have a lot more than that."
• Susan and Ryan have three children: Anna, age 7; Abby, age 3; and Drew will be 1 on July 2. Ryan works at Dacotah Bank in Aberdeen.
• "It was a hard decision to leave Langford," Susan said. "But we live three blocks away from the Groton school. It will be a lot easier when the kids grow up and are involved in sports. There won't be that running back and forth when we can stay right here."
• Anna has been attending school in Langford and will be making the switch to Groton as well. "We counted them up the other day she already knows 26 kids," Susan said, "through ice skating, basketball, soccer and swimming lessons." Anna said she was excited to go to school in Groton.
• Susan likes to ride bike, play outside with the kids, go for walks and play softball. "I love to read," she added. Susan also sells Tastefully Simple. "It's food that tastes great and is simple to make."
